Kenyan All Stars Gaining Exposure With The Spanish Cordoba Club.
SportPesa Premier League All Stars on Wednesday 19th May evening faced Spanish second division side Cordoba Club de Fútbol at the Estadio el Mauli in Antequera City, Spain. The event comes as the first of many programmes lined up under a recently signed partnership between La Liga and Kenyan Premier League. The Spanish La Liga officials explained that their vision is to improve the general management of the KPL as well as its clubs so that they can be more professional and profitable. Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi, who is handling the All Stars team, has hailed KPL for making the initiative possible, saying that the players stood to have gained some valuable exposure and experience from the Spain tour. “Our aim as the Kenyan team is to bring these players together and equip them with the necessary experience and skills that will help them in future engagements such as CHAN (African Nations Championships).” “Winning would be nice, but the bigger objective is to help these players gain exposure and experience that will help them in future engagements.
